Behind the Author

KM Reid is the owner of Reid for Read Publishing LLC an African American woman owned Children's book publisher.  Multi-cultural inclusion is its brand reaching out to children all over the world.

KM Reid was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  Her father was a soldier in the Army.  KM Reid decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and join the military as well.  Full of love and encouraging words, her mother told her “You can do it” and she did.  She is such an inspiration.  KM Reid served in the Air Force for 20 years.  She began writing children’s books after she had her two wonderful children.  She loved reading to them and showing them the delightful illustrations as they followed along.  The idea of writing children’s books took off from there.
